 Our Review:

Amon’s Adventure  by Arnold Ytree is a wonderful family read-aloud story!  

The story is enchanting and the devotionals are insightful.  It can lead to some wonderful learning, a deeper understanding of the season of Lent and of course, the true meaning of Easter. 

The introduction chapter contains one of the best descriptions and understanding of Lent that I have read. It also includes a  guide to parents and teachers.

Each chapter (28 total) has a short devotional at the end allowing you and your children to explore a deeper understanding and meaning of Lent/Easter.   

Another really neat bonus is that this book is linked to the author’s website and contains special features (click here) that enhance the children’s (and everyone’s)  learing while having fun.

We highly recommend this book!

Two Great Children’s Books for Gifting this Christmas Season (or any time of the year!)

I was searching through several publisher’s websites in search of some great children’s books for gift giving to the children in my life and I came across these two wonderful  books!

I don’t think I can write or say enough about how wonderful these books are! I was so excited when I found them because they are truly love letters from God to our children.

For the boys, each chapter is a “stepping stone”  on a treasure map ~ the map of God sharing His words with our sons to help them become the men He so desires our sons to be! 

For the girls, each chapter is a love letter from God showing them His path and how they truly are loved and embraced by the King of Kings!

Each chapter of the books, which are no longer than 1-2 pages are broken down into a letter (moral lessons) to our sons and daughters and are signed, “Love, Your King and Father in Heaven”.  Following that there is a related scripture verse that can be read and discussed by parent and child.  The  chapter ends with a prayer that both the parent and child can say together.  

The graphics are amazing and the books are so well written.  The morals/lessons are deeply versed in Biblical scripture. I  just can’t recommend these books enough!

Hermie and Friends ~ Who is in Charge Anyway? DVD Review

My kids grew up watching Hermie and Friends on dvd; they’re a bit older now but it sure did bring back memories while we were watching this! 

As always, the dvd was great and the message about God’s plan for all of us was brought to life in sucha great way. Our whole family enjoyed this wonderful dvd!
